EPA, MDE to update public April 21 on Sparrows Point cleanup<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Philadelphia, PA (April 20, 2016<\/span><\/span>) \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) will hold a public information meeting on April 21<\/span><\/span>\u00a0to update residents on the environmental cleanup plans at the former Sparrows Point steel mill site.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

The meeting will begin at\u00a06 p.m.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0at the North Point Branch of the Baltimore County Library at 1716 Merritt Boulevard, Dundalk, Md.\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

During the meeting, officials from EPA and MDE will provide updates on the activities related to the investigation and remediation of the site.\u00a0 This will include results of the off-shore investigation conducted off the western portion of the site and the work plans for the investigation of off-shore conditions along the eastern portion of the site.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n
