MDE Launches Online Payment Service for Agency Invoices<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

New system will help speed up transactions for environmental permits<\/i><\/p>\n

Baltimore, MD (June 12, 2015<\/span><\/span>) \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>The Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) has launched an online payment system that will allow business customers of the department to pay invoices for permits and other MDE services online.<\/p>\n

The new service, developed in conjunction with NIC Maryland, accepts all major credit cards and eCheck\/ACH payments and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To access the site, go to this link: \u00a0https:\/\/egov.maryland.gov\/mde\/invoice\/#\/<\/a>\u00a0 and enter your invoice number as a starting point.<\/p>\n

\u201cImproving customer service is a top priority for MDE,\u201d said MDE Secretary Ben Grumbles. \u201cWe will continue to use new technologies, such as rapid payment options and permit tracking systems, to increase efficiencies and environmental results throughout the state.\u201d<\/p>\n

MDE sends out about 2,500 invoices a month to the regulated community for a variety of permits to protect air quality, water quality and for safe control of waste disposal.<\/p>\n
