ANNAPOLIS, MD (July 19, 2011) \u2013 The Pesticide Advisory Committee will hold its next meeting on July 27, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Maryland Department of Agriculture in Annapolis. Agenda items include: USGS \u2013 Little Blackwater River Watershed Water Quality Project, Brandon Fleming, USGS; Emerald Ash Borer Update, Carol Holko, MDA Plant Protection and Weed Management Section; Pesticide Usage Survey, Barbara Rater, USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service, and a Pesticide Regulatory Update from Dennis Howard, MDA Pesticide Regulation Section. <\/p>\n
The Pesticide Advisory Committee is made up of 15 members that review current pesticide management and advise the Secretary of Agriculture of actions necessary to produce healthy agricultural products and to protect structures, while ensuring the health of citizens and protection of natural resources.<\/p>\n
