ANNAPOLIS, MD (February 2, 2012) \u2013 Governor Martin O\u2019Malley will induct one\u00a0 farming family into the Governor\u2019s Agriculture Hall of Fame during the annual \u201cTaste of Maryland\u201d event today, Thursday, February 2, at Michael\u2019s Eighth Avenue.<\/p>\n
The Governor\u2019s Agriculture Hall of Fame is the state\u2019s most prestigious agriculture award recognizing high standards of achievement and commitment to the industry and local communities.<\/p>\n
More than 700 people are expected for the Maryland Agriculture Council\u2019s annual event, which brings together the State\u2019s agricultural leaders and lawmakers.\u00a0 In addition, the Agriculture Council will present its annual educational grants.<\/p>\n
