The Touch of Class Awards were established in 2011 by the MHIB to honor Maryland horses, individuals, teams, organizations or events that demonstrate the highest standards of excellence in Maryland\u2019s horse industry.<\/p>\n<p>Touch of Class Award recipients to be honored are:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Mark Beecher of Glyndon (Baltimore County)<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Blythe Miller Davies of Monkton (Baltimore County)<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Jack Fisher of Monkton (Harford County)<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Ross Geraghty of Monkton (Harford County)<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Dr. Margaret Hoffecker and John Almond of Loafers Lodge Ponies of Monkton (Baltimore County).<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Irvin Naylor of Stillwater Farm in Glyndon (Baltimore County).<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Sally Steinmetz of Rosehaven Farm Ponies in Havre de Grace (Harford County)<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Incomplete, owned by Bob Kinsley (Harford County), trained by Ann Stewart (Baltimore County)<\/p>\n<p>For a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mda.maryland.gov\/horseboard\/Pages\/touch_of_class.aspx\">list of previous Touch of Class winners<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHO<\/strong>: MHIB Chairman Jim Steele and Gov. Martin O\u2019Malley\u2019s Assistant Chief of Staff Ashley Valis will present the Maryland Horse Industry Board\u2019s Touch of Class Awards to nine recipients.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHAT<\/strong>: Presentation of Touch of Class Awards to honor equine excellence in Maryland during kick-off event of the Steeplechase season.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHEN<\/strong>: Sunday, March 17.
