ANNAPOLIS, MD (March 19, 2025)<\/strong>\u2014 Governor Wes Moore<\/strong> has declared March 19<\/strong> as Maryland Agriculture Trade Day<\/strong><\/a>, in recognition of the enormous contribution agriculture trade makes to the state\u2019s economy, farmers, and communities. Maryland Agriculture Trade Day honors Maryland\u2019s farmers, ranchers, and related agricultural businesses and the role they play in feeding the globe.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMaryland agriculture benefits significantly from exports,\u201d said Maryland Department of Agriculture Secretary Kevin Atticks.<\/strong>\u00a0 \u201cThe Port of Baltimore is a leader in ag equipment imports and exports and also serves to connect our producers with sales around the world.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Maryland\u2019s agricultural producers are among the most productive in the world and play a vital role in food security both here and abroad. Major exports from Maryland include poultry, soybeans, grain, dairy products and processed vegetables.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
