Dr. Mercuro walks Joanne through steps in the Embryonic Transfer and In Vitro Fertilization procedures and illustrates the unique role Maryland dairy farmers play in enhancing the United States\u2019 leadership in supplying purebred dairy genetics around the world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 12pt\"><strong>KDrones at Richardson Farms (Baltimore County)<\/strong> \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.richardsonfarms.net\/\">Richardson Farms<\/a> in White Marsh is one of the largest growers in Kale in Maryland, and diamondback moths have taken notice. To combat the notorious crop killers without using conventional pesticides, farmer Brian Richardson calls in Kirk and William \u201cBugg\u201d Floyd of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kdroneservices.com\/contact\">KDrones Services<\/a> to airdrop more than 100,000 parasitic wasps onto his crops. The wasps feed on moths during their caterpillar stage, providing Richardson\u2019s crops with natural and longer lasting protection from the dreaded diamondback.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 12pt\"><strong>The Local Buy: Food Historian Joyce White (Prince George\u2019s County) <\/strong>\u2013 Segment host Al Spoler heads to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.riversdale.org\/\">Riversdale House Museum<\/a> in Riverdale Park, where he meets up with food historian <a href=\"https:\/\/atasteofhistory.net\/about\">Joyce White<\/a> to learn about her new book <a href=\"https:\/\/hammondharwoodhouse.org\/cooking-marylands-way-voices-of-a-diverse-cuisine\/\">Cooking Maryland\u2019s Way: Voices of a Diverse Cuisine<\/a>, a companion to the classic 1963 cookbook Maryland\u2019s Way. The two gather fresh heritage crops from the museum\u2019s grounds before heading inside to prepare succotash, Brunswick stew, and corn pudding using traditional cooking techniques and historic recipes found in White\u2019s new book.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 12pt\">More than 16 million viewers have watched Maryland Farm &amp; Harvest on the statewide public TV network since its debut in 2013.
