The series has traveled to more than 500 farms, fisheries, and other agriculture-related locations during its 11-plus season run, covering every Maryland county, as well as Baltimore City and Washington, D.C.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 12pt\"><strong>Maryland Farm &amp; Harvest<\/strong> airs on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. on MPT-HD and online at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mpt.org\/anywhere\/live-stream-mpt\/\">mpt.org\/livestream<\/a>. Viewers join <a href=\"https:\/\/bugoftheweek.com\/thebugguy\">Michael J. Raupp, Ph.D.<\/a>, professor emeritus, University of Maryland, on a survey of the spotted lanternfly population around <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visithowardcounty.com\/listings\/lake-kittamaqundi\/8615\/\">Lake Kittamaqundi<\/a> in Columbia. Then, James Ewing, farm manager at <a href=\"https:\/\/libertasestateswinery.com\/\">Libertas Estates Winery<\/a> in Mt. Airy, shows how he\u2019s been able to limit the presence of the invasive species by enlisting the help of an army of Indian runner ducks.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 12pt\"><strong>OlaLekan Farm (Prince George\u2019s County)<\/strong> \u2013 From growing ginger to okra, peppers, and other staples, 26-year-old Tolu Igun is on a mission to make fresh and culturally rich foods accessible to her neighbors while fostering a farming community of her own. Having established <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/olalekanfarm\/\">Olalekan Farm<\/a> at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecoffshoots.org\/urban-farm-incubator\/\">Urban Farm Incubator at Watkins Regional Park<\/a> in Upper Marlboro, the first-generation farmer and Nigerian immigrant mentors budding farmers hoping to follow in her footsteps.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 12pt\"><strong>Farm to Skillet: Chef Spike Gjerde (Baltimore City) <\/strong>\u2013 James Beard award-winning chef Spike Gjerde of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.woodberrykitchen.com\/\">Woodberry Kitchen<\/a> in Baltimore leads viewers through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.32ndfm.org\/\">32nd Street Farmers Market<\/a> in Waverly, where he finds rabbit and bacon from <a href=\"https:\/\/libertydelightfarms.com\/\">Liberty Delight Farms<\/a> (Reisterstown), peaches from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blackrockorchard.com\/\">Black Rock Orchard<\/a> (Lineboro), and purslane and shallots from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.onestrawfarm.com\/\">One Straw Farm<\/a> (White Hall). With the fresh, locally produced ingredients in tow, Gjerde returns to Woodberry to create a delicious braised rabbit stew.
