Any existing spray exemptions in the area will be temporarily suspended.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background-color: #ffffff;margin-top: 0pt;margin-bottom: 0pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif\">The department&#8217;s <strong>Mosquito Control Program<\/strong> personnel will use a permethrin-based solution that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency <\/span><a style=\"text-decoration: none\" href=\"https:\/\/www.epa.gov\/mosquitocontrol\/permethrin-resmethrin-d-phenothrin-sumithrinr-synthetic-pyrethroids-mosquito-control\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;color: #0000ff;text-decoration: underline\">has approved<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif\"> for use in public health mosquito control programs without posing unreasonable risks to human health. However, out of an abundance of caution, MDA recommends avoiding outdoor activities during spraying.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0pt;margin-bottom: 0pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif\">While not all mosquitoes carry diseases, the department suggests that residents take precautions to minimize their exposure to mosquito bites.
