By incorporating value-added products such as cheese, butter, and ice cream and using cows that produce A2 milk \u2013 a variation some people find easier to digest \u2013 the family is able to keep the business going and sell milk products to customers who thought they were done with dairy. <\/span>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Deep Roots Farm (Prince George\u2019s County)-<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> After pivoting from accounting to farming, Ann \u201cFarmer Gale\u201d Sutton purchased a 50-plus-acre plot of land in <\/span><b>Upper Marlboro <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">in 2019. Despite the onset of COVID-19 and discovery that her newly purchased fields were deficient in the nutrients needed to grow produce, she\u2019s been able to regenerate her farm\u2019s soil and today operates a successful farming business while transforming an old barn on the property into a center for agricultural education.\u00a0 <\/span>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Farm to Skillet: Chef Steve Chu, Fells Point Farmers Market (Baltimore City-. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Chef Steve Chu, co-founder of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ekibenbaltimore.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ekiben<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, leads viewers through the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/FellsPointFarmersMarket\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fells Point Farmers Market<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, where he finds beef from <\/span><b>Albright Farms<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, vegetables from <\/span><b>Hillside Meadows Farms<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, seafood from <\/span><b>Coastal Canyon Seafood<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, and other fresh produce from local growers.
