ANNAPOLIS, MD <\/b>\u2013 Maryland Public Television\u2019s (MPT) popular original series<\/span> Maryland Farm & Harvest<\/span><\/i><\/a> returns for its eighth season on Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. with new half-hour episodes. The season premiere features farms and locations in Carroll, Cecil, Queen Anne\u2019s, Talbot, and Wicomico counties as part of a \u201cFarm Machines\u201d themed episode.<\/span><\/p>\n

Maryland Farm & Harvest<\/span><\/i> takes viewers on a journey across the state, telling stories about the farms, people, and technology required to sustain and grow Maryland agriculture \u2013 the state\u2019s number one commercial industry. The season eight trailer can be viewed online <\/span>here<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This season <\/span>Maryland Farm & Harvest<\/span><\/i> adds two new regular segments. One segment is called \u201cThe Way it Works\u201d and offers a look at the mechanical side of agriculture. The \u201cFacebook Photo Challenge\u201d segment features photos submitted online by Maryland farmers on a variety of interesting topics.<\/span><\/p>\n

Series host Joanne Clendining, who recently earned her second Emmy\u00ae award from the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for her work on <\/span>Maryland Farm & Harvest<\/span><\/i>, returns for season eight. She is joined by Al Spoler who handles duties for each episode\u2019s <\/span>The<\/span><\/i> Local Buy<\/span><\/i> segment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
