Any business involved in food distribution, production, processing, sales and supply will be considered essential, including, but not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Agricultural equipment sales and service<\/li>\n<li>Agricultural supply businesses<\/li>\n<li>Animal feed supply and distribution<\/li>\n<li>Farms<\/li>\n<li>Farmers markets and food banks<\/li>\n<li>Feed mills<\/li>\n<li>Food and meat processors and manufacturers, including bakeries, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Food safety laboratories and inspectors<\/li>\n<li>Greenhouses and nurseries<\/li>\n<li>Grocery delivery services<\/li>\n<li>Pet food manufacturers and distributors<\/li>\n<li>Retailers, including grocery stores<\/li>\n<li>Seafood industry (crabbers, watermen, processors, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Transportation, distribution and suppliers<\/li>\n<li>Veterinary services and supplies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As essential businesses, the department is asking you to remain open and operational\u2014normally and safely\u2014until or unless directed otherwise. Develop procedures for safe operation of your facility or farm and post those procedures for the benefit of your employees and the broader public. To clarify, the governor\u2019s current\u00a0order to suspend operations applies only to bars, dine-in restaurants and other non-essential retail locations.
