The series puts a human face on Maryland agriculture by telling stories of the people, skills and technology required to sustain and grow the state\u2019s number one industry. Episode 412 will premiere <strong>Tuesday, January 31, at 7 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Joanne Clendining, who earned an Emmy\u00ae from the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter (NCCBC) of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for her work as\u00a0<em>Maryland Farm &amp; Harvest<\/em>\u00a0host, returns for season four.\u00a0 Joining Joanne is Contributing Editor Al Spoler, who serves up the\u00a0<em>Local Buy<\/em>\u00a0segment during each episode.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Featured on this week\u2019s episode<strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Long Looked For, Come at Last Farm in St. Mary\u2019s County. <\/strong>Viewers meet Gerald Byrne, who shows viewers how grapes are grown on his farm before the crop is harvested and taken to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.polwinery.com\/\">The Port of Leonardtown Winery<\/a> to be made into wine.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Middleton\u2019s Cedar Hill Farm. <\/strong>During the segment Maryland State Senator Thomas \u201cMac\u201d Middleton talks about how he balances his roles as both a legislator and a farmer.\u00a0 His family has owned the Waldorf farm for more than 350 years, where they raise pumpkins, squash, hay and beef cattle.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Backbone Food Farm in Garrett County. <\/strong>During the episode\u2019s <em>The Local Buy<\/em> segment<em>, <\/em>host Al Spoler learns about Max and Katharine Dubansky\u2019s use of draft horses as mechanical tractors and tastes the Oakland farm\u2019s mushrooms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>The series airs on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. on MPT-HD<\/strong> and is rebroadcast on Thursdays at 11:30 p.m. and Sundays at 6 a.m. Each show also airs on MPT2 on Fridays at 7 p.m.\u00a0 For more information visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mpt.org\/farm\"><em>mpt.org\/farm<\/em><\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">The Maryland Department of Agriculture is MPT\u2019s co-production partner for <em>Maryland Farm &amp; Harvest<\/em>.
