The series puts a human face on Maryland agriculture by telling stories of the people, skills and technology required to sustain and grow the state\u2019s number one industry. Episode 408 will premiere <strong>Tuesday, January 3, at 7 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Joanne Clendining, who earned an Emmy\u00ae from the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter (NCCBC) of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for her work as\u00a0<em>Maryland Farm &amp; Harvest<\/em>\u00a0host, returns for season four.\u00a0 Joining Joanne is Contributing Editor Al Spoler, who serves up the\u00a0<em>Local Buy<\/em>\u00a0segment during each episode.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Featured on this week\u2019s episode<strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Teabow Farm in Frederick County.<\/strong> Viewers will see how milk from Larry Jarvis\u2019 farm in Walkersville makes its way to the Nestl\u00e9 ice cream manufacturing facility in<strong> Prince George\u2019s County<\/strong>, where it is used to make cookies n\u2019 cream ice cream. The plant, in Laurel, is one of the largest in the world and sources much of its milk from Maryland.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/schradersoutdoors.com\/\"><strong>Schrader\u2019s Outdoors<\/strong><\/a><strong> in Kent County.\u00a0<\/strong>This hunting business helps reduce wildlife damage to family farms.\u00a0 During the segment Ken Schrader brings hunters into a Goldsboro field (<strong>Caroline County)<\/strong>, farmed by his nephew Brad Schrader, to keep deer and goose populations in check.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.clarklandfarm.com\/index.html\"><strong>Clark\u2019s Elioak Farm<\/strong><\/a><strong> in Howard County.<\/strong> Operated by mother and daughter Martha Clark and Nora Crist, the two women follow a family decree set in stone years ago, one that commands, \u201cNever Sell the Land.\u201d\u00a0 Located near Columbia, the farm is open to the public and offers a petting farm and look at a livestock and produce operation.<\/li>\n<li>During <em>The Local Buy<\/em> segment, host Al Spoler visits <a href=\"http:\/\/www.clearspringcreamery.com\/\"><strong>Clear Spring Creamery<\/strong><\/a><a name=\"_GoBack\"><\/a><strong> in Washington County<\/strong> to explore owners Mark and Claire Siebert\u2019s devotion to sustainability at their farm through the use of solar panels, and shows how they transform milk into a probiotic packed drinkable yogurt.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>The series airs on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. on MPT-HD<\/strong> and is rebroadcast on Thursdays at 11:30 p.m. and Sundays at 6 a.m. Each show also airs on MPT2 on Fridays at 7 p.m.\u00a0 For more information visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mpt.org\/farm\">mpt.org\/farm<\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">The Maryland Department of Agriculture is MPT\u2019s co-production partner for <em>Maryland Farm &amp; Harvest<\/em>.
