The series puts a human face on Maryland agriculture by telling stories of the people, skills and technology required to sustain and grow the state\u2019s number one industry. Episode 406 will premiere <strong>Tuesday, December 20, at 7 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Joanne Clendining, who earned an Emmy\u00ae from the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter (NCCBC) of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for her work as\u00a0<em>Maryland Farm &amp; Harvest<\/em>\u00a0host, returns for season four.\u00a0 Joining Joanne is Contributing Editor Al Spoler, who serves up the\u00a0<em>Local Buy<\/em>\u00a0segment during each episode.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Featured on this week\u2019s episode<strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/education.fcps.org\/chs\/\">Catoctin High School<\/a> in Thurmont.<\/strong> Each year, this high school hosts a country butchering \u2013 a community-wide event that brings together young and old to take part in a disappearing tradition.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.serenityfarminc.com\/\"><strong>Serenity Farm<\/strong><\/a><strong> in Charles County<\/strong> is home to the nonprofit Farming 4 Hunger, which donates two million pounds of food to needy Southern Maryland families each year.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.somdgrowers.com\/product-category\/our_producers\/russell-brothers-farm\/\"><strong>Russell Bros. Farm<\/strong><\/a> <strong>in St. Mary\u2019s County, <\/strong>where local bargain hunters and farming enthusiast are invited every year for a Christmas-themed auction<\/li>\n<li><em>The <\/em>\u00a0<em>Local Buy<\/em> segment visits <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/sassafrascreekfarm.com\/\">Sassafras Creek Farm<\/a> in St. Mary\u2019s County, <\/strong>which specializes in growing winter greens throughout the year.
