ANNAPOLIS, MD <\/strong>\u2013 Maryland Agriculture Secretary Joe Bartenfelder and Deputy Secretary Jim Eichhorst will visit Broom\u2019s Bloom Dairy<\/a> in Bel Air on Tuesday, September 13. Broom\u2019s Bloom is one of nine stops on the 2016 Maryland\u2019s Best Ice Cream Trail, which features dairy farms that produce and sell ice cream directly to consumers right on the farm.<\/p>\n

The 2016 Ice Cream Trailblazer passport is available at any of the creameries (or online atwww.marylandsbest.net<\/a>. Anyone who completes their Ice Cream Trail passport by visiting every stop on the trail and answering a question from each creamery between May 20 and Sept. 23 will have their passport entered into a drawing to be named the 2016 Ice Cream Trail Blazer.<\/p>\n

Maryland\u2019s Best Ice Cream Trail includes the following nine farms:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Broom\u2019s Bloom Dairy<\/a> (Harford County)<\/li>\n
  2. Chesapeake Bay Farms<\/a> (Worcester County \u2013 now two locations)<\/li>\n
  3. Keyes Creamery<\/a> (Harford County)<\/li>\n
  4. Kilby Cream<\/a> (Cecil County)<\/li>\n
  5. Misty Meadows Farm Creamery<\/a> (Washington County)<\/li>\n
  6. Prigel Family Creamery<\/a> (Baltimore County)<\/li>\n
  7. Rocky Point Creamery<\/a> (Frederick County)<\/li>\n
  8. South Mountain Creamery<\/a> (Frederick County)<\/li>\n
  9. Woodbourne Creamery at Rock Hill Orchard<\/a> (Montgomery County)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
