ANNAPOLIS, MD<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013Registration is now open for the 2016 Maryland Farmers Market Conference. The Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, March 15, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Maryland Department of Agriculture, 50 Harry S Truman Parkway, Annapolis, Md.<\/p>\n

Conference sessions will include marketing tips for farmers markets, updates on current regulations and food safety. The event will also offer training and certification sessions for the Farmers Market Nutrition Program, the Seniors Farmers Market Nutrition Program and the Fruit and Vegetable Check program. Farmers may also sign up for eligibility to accept the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. The Department\u2019s Weights & Measures program will also offer certification for market scales.<\/p>\n
