{"id":197,"date":"2012-06-11T16:06:41","date_gmt":"2012-06-11T16:06:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.maryland.gov\/mda\/?p=197"},"modified":"2012-08-08T16:07:37","modified_gmt":"2012-08-08T16:07:37","slug":"public-meetings-planned-on-marylands-proposed-changes-to-nutrient-management-regulations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.maryland.gov\/mda\/press-release\/2012\/06\/11\/public-meetings-planned-on-marylands-proposed-changes-to-nutrient-management-regulations\/","title":{"rendered":"PUBLIC MEETINGS PLANNED ON MARYLAND&#8217;S PROPOSED CHANGES TO NUTRIENT MANAGEMENT REGULATIONS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ANNAPOLIS, MD (June 11, 2012) \u2013 The Maryland Department of Agriculture (MDA) will host a series of public meetings across the state to provide information to farmers, environmental interests, local governments and other stakeholders on proposed changes to Maryland\u2019s Nutrient Management Regulations and offer an opportunity for public comment.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The draft regulations are scheduled for publication in the Maryland Register on June 29, 2012. \u00a0To read the proposed regulations online visit the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dsd.state.md.us\/MDRegister\/mdregister.aspx\">Maryland Register<\/a>\u00a0or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mda.maryland.gov\/pdf\/proposednmregs2.pdf\">MDA\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The proposed regulations were submitted to the Joint Committee on Administrative, Executive and Legislative Review (AELR) on May 22 of this year following months of discussions with stakeholder groups and input from Governor Martin O\u2019Malley\u2019s Baystat Scientific Panel.
