Media Advisory: Maryland’s Best Food & Beverage Expo Scheduled for January 22

ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Maryland Department of Agriculture will host a business-to-business, local food trade show on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The purpose of this expo is to provide an opportunity for Maryland farmers, producers, and processors to connect with wholesale buyers.

In 2019, the event — formerly known as the Buyer Grower Expo — had more than 400 registrants. Participants include: grocery store representatives, chefs, school nutrition directors, distributors, economic development officials, Maryland Cooperative Extension agents, and county agricultural marketing officials. The event showcases a wide range of local products, such as: fruits and vegetables; meats (beef, chicken, turkey, etc.); seafood (aquaculture oysters); and specialty products (locally-made cheese, ice cream, soup, chocolate, coffee, wine, and more). As the premier business-to-business trade event for local food, the Maryland’s Best Expo seeks to ensure all attendees have a legitimate professional interest.

For more information on the expo or to register, visit the event page on the Maryland’s Best website.
