MEETING NOTICE: Maryland Agricultural Commission to meet May 11

ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Maryland Agricultural Commission will meet from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, May 11, at the Maryland Department of Agriculture, 50 Harry S Truman Parkway, Annapolis. The agenda includes a presentation on “Status of Water Quality Trading Efforts in Maryland” by Lynn Buhl, director of Water Management Administration, Maryland Department of the Environment and Susan Payne, coordinator of Ecosystem Markets and Certainty Programs, Maryland Department of Agriculture.

The Commission serves as an advisory body to the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of agriculture. Its members are appointed by the Governor and represent major commodity groups across Maryland.
