PUBLIC NOTICE: MDA to Increase Mosquito Control Activities in Anne Arundel County

ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Maryland Department of Agriculture, in cooperation with Anne Arundel County, will expand mosquito control services in Anne Arundel County due to evidence of West Nile virus in the area.

Mosquito Control ULV spraying will occur in the following communities:  Amberfield, Bancroft, Chapman Farms, Conways, Crofton Chase, Crofton Colony, Crofton Community District, Crofton Downs, Crofton Meadows, Manors of Crofton, Meadowcroft Condos, Mayfair Village and Walden. These areas will be sprayed on Tuesday, August 18 and the following Tuesday, August 25, weather permitting.

Spraying will begin at or after 7:30 p.m. Any existing spray exemptions in the area will be temporarily suspended. People should avoid outdoors activities on spray nights. For a map of the area to be treated, click here or call MDA’s Mosquito Control Program at 410-841-5870.
