Meeting Notice: Pesticide Advisory Committee to Meet March 26

ANNAPOLIS, MD  – The Maryland Department of Agriculture (MDA) Pesticide Advisory Committee will meet at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26, at MDA headquarters, 50 Harry S Truman Parkway,  Annapolis. The agenda includes a presentation on the biological control of mosquitoes and reduced pesticide uses in salt marshes by Dan Schamberger of MDA’s  Mosquito Control Section. The meeting will also include a presentation entitled, Entomology in the 21^st Century: Impact of Insect Biotechnology on Agriculture and Medical Entomology by Dr. David A. O’Brochta, Department of Entomology, The Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology Research, University of Maryland.
