Maryland Horse Industry Board Speaker Series Hosts Chair of the National Marketing Alliance for the American Horse Council
ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Maryland Horse Industry Board’s Winter Speaker Series will feature Patti Colbert, chair of the National Marketing Alliance for the American Horse Council (AHC), on Tuesday, Feb. 18, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Baltimore County Center for Maryland Agriculture, 1114 Shawan Road, Cockeysville. Ms. Colbert will talk about new marketing efforts to revitalize the equine industry. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is requested. Ms. Colbert is the CEO of Patti Colbert Enterprises in Austin, Texas. The AHC hired her two years ago to lead a nationwide initiative to reinvigorate the equine industry. She will talk about the AHC’s new “Time to Ride Campaign” as well as share her marketing expertise on how to attract new customers to equine businesses. Ms. Colbert developed the Extreme Mustang Makeover events with the U.S. Bureau of Land Management and has produced several television shows about horses. She is the executive director for the Mustang Heritage Foundation, recipient of the prestigious Fern Sawyer Award from the National Cowgirl Museum, and operates a thriving guest ranch in Texas.
The Maryland Horse Industry Board, a program within the Maryland Department of Agriculture, works to promote Maryland’s horse industry in its many disciplines. Its speaker series is designed to provide those in the industry with educational presentations as well as new ideas and perspectives on the industry from both inside Maryland and across the nation.
