Maryland Invasive Plant Advisory Committee and Maryland Young Farmers Advisory Board to Meeting in January

ANNAPOLIS, MD  – The Maryland Invasive Plant Advisory Committee will meet Tuesday, Jan. 14, from 9:30 a.m. to noon, in room 253 at the Maryland Department of Agriculture, 50 Harry S. Truman Parkway, Annapolis. The committee will review and discuss signage for Tier 2 plants, phase out and disposal of Tier 1 plants, and other regulations that are being developed in accordance with the Invasive Plant Law passed by the Maryland legislature in 2011.

The Maryland Young Farmers Advisory Board will meet on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 11:30 a.m. at the Maryland Department of Agriculture (MDA), 50 Harry S. Truman Parkway, Annapolis. The agenda will include a Phosphorus Management Tool update, MDA Turf and Seed Program overview, and a departmental/legislative update.
