MEDIA ADVISORY: Agriculture Secretary to Visit Farmers’ Markets this Week in Annapolis, Baltimore

specialtyANNAPOLIS, MD  – Agriculture Secretary Buddy Hance will visit two Maryland farmers’ markets this week – one in Annapolis and one in Baltimore – to present proclamations from Governor Martin O’Malley, designating Aug. 5-11 as Farmers’ Market Week in Maryland. Secretary Hance will meet with market managers, farmers, vendors and customers while encouraging all Marylanders to visit farmers’ market and buy local products whenever possible. There are currently 144 markets across the state – at least one in every county and Baltimore. Search for one near you at www.marylandsbest.net.
