MEDIA ADVISORY: Maryland Horse Industry Board to Host Reception for Horse Units in Inaugural Parade

The Maryland Horse Industry Board, a program within the Maryland Department of Agriculture, will sponsor a Welcome Reception and pizza party for the equine units from across the country that will be marching in the 2013 Inaugural Parade in Washington, D.C. All 150 horses that will be in the parade will be stabled at the Prince George’s Equestrian Center. At least 80 of the horses are coming from Indiana. The reception, which is being co-sponsored by the Maryland Horse Council, will be held immediately after the official briefing for those participating in the parade. About 200 people from across the country who are associated with these equine units are expected to attend.
