Media Advisory: Meetings to Connect Maryland Growers and Producers with Regional Retail and Wholesale Buyers to be Held Tuesday
The Maryland Department of Agriculture (MDA) will hold a trade show style meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 22, to give Maryland growers and producers an opportunity to display their products and to give buyers a chance to speak with them one-on-one. This event has become bigger every year as consumer demand rises for healthy, locally grown fruit and vegetables. More than 300 participants are registered to attend, including a record 100 buyers. Participants include farmers, grocery stores, restaurants, chefs, schools, distributors, economic development officials, hotels, University of Maryland Extension and regional agricultural marketing officials will be represented.
