Maryland Young Farmers Advisory Board to Meet July 18

ANNAPOLIS, MD (June 29, 2012) – The Maryland Young Farmers Advisory Board will meet on Wednesday, July 18, at 8:45 a.m. at the Maryland Department of Agriculture, 50 Harry Truman Parkway, Annapolis.

The board will depart MDA and tour to a Kent County grain operation, Chesapeake Farms, a agricultural practice and wildlife management demonstration area in Kent County, and Boyle Brothers Seed Operation in Queen Anne’s County.

The Young Farmers Advisory Board promotes agriculture as a positive contributor to Maryland’s economy, environment, and scenic landscape; and makes recommendations related to economic development and policy issues that will assist young and beginning farmers, and other related businesses in creating and continuing profitable agriculture throughout the state.
