MEETING NOTICE: Governor’s Intergovernmental Commission for Agriculture to Meet June 25

ANNAPOLIS, MD (June 8, 2012) – The Governor’s Intergovernmental Commission for Agriculture will meet on Monday, June 25, from 10:00 a.m. to Noon at the Maryland Department of Agriculture, 50 Harry S. Truman Parkway, Annapolis, lower level conference rooms. The agenda will include a review and briefing from the Food Trust about the grocery gap and a healthy food financing initiative, as well as a briefing by representatives of the Maryland Department of the Environment and the Maryland Department of Planning on the Sustainable Growth and Agricultural Preservation Act of 2012.   Members will also continue their discussions about agricultural education and outreach.  For more information, contact Joanna Kille at 410-841-5886.
