Meeting Notice: Maryland Horse Industry Board to Meet April 3

ANNAPOLIS, MD (March 23, 2012) – The Maryland Horse Industry Board will meet Tuesday, April 3, at 10 a.m. in the “Groom Elites” Student Classroom, Main Barn, at Second Chances Farm, 6900 Slacks Rd., Sykesville. The farm, which is a collaboration between the Maryland Department of Corrections and the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation, Inc., is a satellite facility of the Central Maryland Correctional Facility and is located on the grounds of the Springfield State Hospital. The meeting will include reports on MHIB initiatives and projects as well as reports from Board representatives and stable inspectors. Lunch and a tour of the facility will follow the meeting.
