MEDIA ADVISORY: Maryland Horse Industry Board to Honor Eight Maryland Championship Racers

ANNAPOLIS, MD (March 16, 2012) – More than 250 people are expected to attend the Maryland Horse Industry Board’s “Night of Maryland Horse Racing Champions,” which will honor eight national champions (six horses and two people) from four different racing disciplines — harness, Arabians, Thoroughbred and steeplechase. The eight champions will be presented with the MHIB’s Touch of Class Award, which recognizes members of Maryland’s equine community that have achieved national and international prominence.

What:     Night of Maryland Horse Racing Champions, hosted by the MD Horse Industry Board

When:    6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2012

Where:    Sports Legends Museum, 301 West Camden Street, Baltimore (at Camden Yards)
