MEETING NOTICE: Maryland Agriculture Commission to Meet November 9

ANNAPOLIS, MD (Nov. 4, 2011) – The Maryland Agricultural Commission will meet at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9, in the lower level conference rooms at the Maryland Department of Agriculture (MDA), 50 Harry S. Truman Pkwy, Annapolis.

Agenda items include briefings and updates from Barbara Rater, director of the Maryland Field Office of the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service, about the 2011 Conservation Effects Assessment Project survey; Carol Holko, MDA Assistant Secretary for Plant Industries and Pest Management; Joanna Kille, MDA director of government affairs, about the Farm Bill, and Tom Hartsock, commission member, about the commission’s strategic planning process.
