MEETING NOTICE: Pesticide Advisory Committee to Meet on Nov. 2

ANNAPOLIS, MD (Oct. 18, 2011) –  The Pesticide Advisory Committee will hold its next meeting on November 2, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to noon.

Agenda items include:  Introduction of New Committee Members and an Overview of the Maryland Department of Agriculture’s Pesticide Regulation Section and Pesticide Regulatory Update, Dennis Howard, Chief, Pesticide Regulation Section, Ed Crow, Entomologist (Licensing, Certification and Training Program Coordinator) and Rob Hofstetter, Entomologist-Pesticide Enforcement (Worker Groundwater and Endangered Species Protection Programs Coordinator).

The Pesticide Advisory Committee is made up of 15 members that review current pesticide management and advise the Secretary of Agriculture of actions necessary to produce healthy agricultural products and to protect structures, while ensuring the health of citizens and protection of natural resources.
