MEETING NOTICE: Pesticide Advisory Committee to Meet September 28

ANNAPOLIS, MD ( Sept. 21, 2011) –  The Pesticide Advisory Committee will hold its next meeting on September 28, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Maryland Department of Agriculture, 50 Harry S. Truman Parkway, Annapolis.

Agenda items include:  Pesticide Usage Survey, Barbara Rater, USDA, NASS – Brown Marmorated Stink Bug, Bryan Butler, University of Maryland Extension – and a Pesticide Regulatory Update from Dennis Howard, Chief, Pesticide Regulation Section, MDA.

The Pesticide Advisory Committee is made up of 15 members that review current pesticide management and advise the Secretary of Agriculture of actions necessary to produce healthy agricultural products and to protect structures, while ensuring the health of citizens and protection of natural resources.
