MEDIA ADVISORY: GOVERNOR MARTIN O’MALLEY TO HIGHLIGHT AGRICULTURE, VOLUNTEERISM AT 130th MARYLAND STATE FAIR

TIMONIUM, MD (August 31, 2011) – Governor  Martin O’Malley,  joined by Lt. Governor Anthony Brown and Agriculture Secretary Buddy Hance, will deliver remarks on September 1 at the State Fair Agriculture Day and Volunteer luncheon and present two 2011 Smart, Green and Growing Awards, followed by a tour the fairgrounds.

Governor Anthony Brown, Agriculture Secretary Buddy Hance, U.S. Deputy Secretary of Transportation John Porcari, Acting Under Secretary Farm and Foreign Agriculture Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture Michael Scuse, and EPA Region 3 Administrator Shawn Garvin, Maryland State Fair and Agricultural Society leaders.
