MDA Provides Information on Storm Recovery Assistance including Emergency Debris Burning Guidance from the Department of the Environment

ANNAPOLIS, MD (Feb. 26, 2010) – The Maryland Department of the Environment has offered provisions for emergency burning of debris as part of the clean up from the recent snow storms.  In addition, the Maryland Department of Agriculture has information available on its website on a variety of farm-related recovery subjects.  These include handling livestock and poultry mortality and contact information and guidance on USDA Farm Service Agency financial assistance programs.  Information and financial incentives on energy efficient equipment and/or solar photovoltaic systems for those who may want to build or rebuild in greener and more energy efficient ways will be available at the same website in the coming days.  For all of this information, link to www.mda.state.md.us and look in the Hot Topics section on the right.
