The Maryland Seafood Marketing Advisory Commission will meet on Thursday, October 24th, 3 p.m. at the Maryland Department of Agriculture headquarters. State Soil Conservation Committee Meeting Notice
ANNAPOLIS, MD – The State Soil Conservation Committee will meet Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. Limited seating is available for those who want to attend in person. The meeting is open to the public and will focus on soil conservation and water quality programs. For those interested in attending, please contact Loretta Collins, Executive Secretary for the State Soil Conservation Committee, at loretta.collins@maryland.gov for call-in information. Established in 1938, the State Soil Conservation Committee coordinates the activities of Maryland’s 24 soil conservation districts, while advising the Secretary of Agriculture on matters relating to soil and water conservation.

Maryland Horse Industry Board (MHIB) Meeting Notice
The Maryland Horse Industry Board (MHIB) is scheduled to meet on October 17, 2024, at 10 A.M. The venue is the Second Floor Conference Room of Equine Veterinary Care, Fair Hill Training Center, 288 Training Center Dr., Elkton, MD. This meeting, hosted by Dr. Kathy Anderson, a notable figure in equine medicine and a former AAEP President, will cover Horse Board initiatives, member updates, and reports from stable inspectors.
The meeting will include current information and discussion concerning Horse Board initiatives, updates from board members and reports from stable inspectors.
NOTE: Lunch will be provided followed by a tour of the facility and then attendance at the first day of the 5-Star dressage competition at the MARS MD 5 Star at Fair Hill presented by Brown Advisory. The dressage competition is scheduled to start at 2 PM. Please RSVP to Anne Litz anne.litz@maryland.gov by Oct. 9, 2024 so that we have a count for lunch and General Admission tickets to the 5 Star.

Dairy Industry Oversight and Advisory Council Meeting Notice
The next meeting of the Dairy Industry Oversight and Advisory Council is scheduled to take place on Friday, September 27, 2024 at 9:00 am. This will an in-person meeting; however, attendees have the option to attend the meeting virtually by joining via Google Meet or by phone.

**We will meet in the “Auditorium” which is located on the 1st floor just inside entrance “B” by the red sidewalk flag. All entrances allow for relatively easy access. Maryland Horse Industry Board Meeting Notice
A meeting of the Maryland Horse Industry Board (MHIB) will be held at 10 A.M., Thursday, September 12, 2024, at “The Ruppert’s Roost Meeting Center,” Therapeutic and Recreational Riding Center (TRRC), 3750 Shady Lane, Glenwood, MD 21738. www.trrcmd.org. TRRC is has been owned/operated by Dr. Helen Tuel, and her husband, John Tuel, for over 40 years and is one of the oldest therapeutic riding centers in Maryland. It is also the site of the Plot Twist Farm lesson and boarding facility operated by MHIB board member, Jennifer Sulin. www.plottwisthorsefarm.com. The meeting will include current information and discussion concerning Horse Board initiatives, updates from board members, and reports from stable inspectors.
