Media Advisory: MDA to Presents Touch of Class Award at Grand Opening of Woodstock Equestrian Center in Montgomery County

MHIB LogoANNAPOLIS, MD – The Maryland Horse Industry Board (MHIB), a program within the Maryland Department of Agriculture, will present its Touch of Class Award Saturday to Tracey Morgan, operator of Gaylen Farm in Beallsville (Montgomery County), at the Grand Opening of The Woodstock Equestrian Center in Beallsville. Tracey recently won the U.S. Equestrian Federation National Combined Driving Single Pony Championship in Southern Pines. She is now eligible to represent the U.S. in the World Championships in France in October.Woodstock Equestrian Center is a 900-acre park devoted to horses and located on farmland donated by the late Bill Rickman Sr. and Hermen Greenberg. Tracey trains her pony on the trails at the park and is the first national champion to have used Woodstock as a training facility.MHIB established the Touch of Class Awards in 2011 to honor Maryland horses, individuals, teams, organizations or events that demonstrate the highest standards of excellence in Maryland’s horse industry.
