MEETING NOTICE: Governor’s Intergovernmental Commission for Agriculture to Meet on Oct. 29
ANNAPOLIS, MD (Oct. 14, 2010) – The Governor’s Intergovernmental Commission will meet on Friday, October 29, from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Maryland Department of Agriculture headquarters, 50 Harry S. Truman Parkway, Annapolis, Maryland, 21401.
The agenda will include a discussion of the draft toolkit for local communities and farmers, Chesapeake Bay TMDLs and the Watershed Implementation Plan, and stormwater regulations.
The Governor’s Intergovernmental Commission for Agriculture (GICA) was established in 2006 to “promote the economic profitability of agriculture in the State by ensuring that all appropriate State agencies work in a cooperative, coordinated manner with local government and industry groups in planning, implementing, overseeing and evaluating intergovernmental initiatives related to agricultural affairs of the State.”
