Deparment to Co-Host Organic Production and Marketing Workshop on March 17

ANNAPOLIS, MD (March 14, 2016) – The Maryland Department of Agriculture is partnering with University of Maryland Extension to host an Organic Production and Marketing Workshop on Thursday, March 17, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Chesapeake College’s Todd Performing Arts Center.

The workshop will feature discussions on contract opportunities and organic production for grain, dairy, vegetables and poultry. There will also be a variety of breakout sessions including plant diversification for pest management and use of cover crops to promote vegetable health.
