MEETING NOTICE: Pesticide Advisory Committee to Meet on July 28

ANNAPOLIS, MD (July 14, 2010) – The Pesticide Advisory Committee will hold its next meeting on July 28, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Maryland Department of Agriculture Headquarters building in Annapolis. Agenda items include: Discussion and Overview of the Recent Maryland’s Children and Pesticides Symposium; Discussion on DHMH’s Biomonitoring Laboratory and Various Analytical Procedures the Laboratory has in Place to Identify Pesticides and/or their Metabolites/Degradation Products in Human Media; Integrated Pest Management in Public School Buildings and on School Grounds; Pesticide Regulatory Update; and input from the general public.

The Pesticide Advisory Committee is made up of 15 members that review current pesticide management and advise the Secretary of Agriculture of actions necessary to produce healthy agricultural products and to protect structures, while ensuring the health of citizens and protection of natural resources.
