MEETING NOTICE: Pesticide Advisory Committee to Meet on March 24, 2010

ANNAPOLIS, MD (March 18, 2010) –  The Pesticide Advisory Committee will hold its next meeting on March 24, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Maryland Department of Agriculture Headquarters building in Annapolis.  Agenda items include:  Update on Children’s Environmental Health and Protection Advisory Council’s Symposium on Pesticides and Children; National Pest Management Association Update on Quality Pro and Green Pro Programs for the Structural Pest Control Industry; Pesticide Regulation Program Update; and input from the general public.

The Pesticide Advisory Committee is made up of 15 members that review current pesticide management and advise the Secretary of Agriculture of actions necessary to produce healthy agricultural products and to protect structures, while ensuring the health of citizens and protection of natural resources.
