Baltimore Woman Arrested For Allegedly Delivering Drugs to Inmate
Correctional officers working for the Department of Public Safety continue to crack down on drugs being smuggled into their facilities.
A Baltimore woman was arrested today after correctional officers say they watched her hand a package filled with drugs to an inmate over a visiting room barrier at Eastern Correctional Institution in Westover, Md.
Mariah Phillip, 23, was arrested when detectives recovered 150 strips of the narcotic suboxone. The package also contained a memory card and a memory card reader.
Phillip was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to distribute as well as charges of possessing and delivering contraband inside of a correctional facility.
