The program is coordinated by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in partnership with the Marine Trades Association of Maryland. Certified Clean Marinas meet all environmental regulatory requirements and adopt additional best practices from the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/boating\/Pages\/cleanmarina\/cmprogram.aspx#guidebook\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Maryland Clean Marina Guidebook<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, which DNR confirms through a site visit every three years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There are currently 144 certified Maryland Clean Marinas and Partners, and several other states have replicated Maryland\u2019s program since DNR established it in 1998.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThis program balances the realities of marina management with environmental protection,\u201d said DNR Clean Marina Coordinator Donna Morrow. \u201cCertified Clean Marinas will enjoy cleaner water, cost savings, more responsible customers, and positive publicity.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There is no cost to attend the seminars but <\/span><b>advanced registration is requested as space is limited. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Registration as well as program information and a list of current Maryland Clean Marinas is available on the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/boating\/Pages\/cleanmarina\/home.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">program website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.
