This exciting event is expected to be one of the largest in the park\u2019s history.<!--more--><\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7429\/9743435720_a1ffd6c177.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Newly restored fireplace<\/p><\/div>\n<p>In preparation of the big weekend, Park technicians Sean Rafter and Mark Beals installed a new entrance sign at the park and restored its 1950s stone fireplace. Other improvements include new picnic pads, tables and grills, and new steps to the picnic area. The park also has new Americans with Disabilities Act-accessible features, such as a paved walkway to the Casselman River Bridge.<\/p>\n<p>Many of the recent improvements were funded in part by a Scenic Byways Grant from the State Highway Administration.\u00a0For more information about the upcoming Casselman River Bridge Bicentennial event, <a href=\"http:\/\/news.maryland.gov\/dnr\/2013\/08\/22\/casselman-river-bridge-to-celebrate-bicentennial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">click here<\/a> or call 301-387-4386.
