Weekend and holiday reservations required at the two parks starting Saturday, May 24<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Beginning today, visitors planning to attend Greenbrier State Park or Sandy Point State Park for Memorial Day weekend as well as future weekends and holidays can make reservations at <\/span>parkdayuse.maryland.gov<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Maryland Park Service\u2019s new day pass reservation system requires all visitors to these parks to reserve their day-use passes in advance during peak times, to reduce overcrowding, limit traffic backups at park entrances, reduce the frequency of capacity closures, and ensure that every visitor knows they have a space before arriving. Later this summer, the system will also expand to other parks including Point Lookout, Newtowne Neck, and North Point State Parks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With the new system, advance reservations are mandatory on weekends and holidays from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day<\/b>\u2014 no same-day drive-up access will be allowed. Reservations must be made online <\/span>and can be made starting seven days in advance of a visit. <\/b>Reservations may be edited or canceled until 8 a.m. the day before the visit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Regular day-use fees will be paid at the time of reservation using credit or debit cards or other online payment methods. Visitors with Maryland Annual Park Passes, Golden Age Passes, or who qualify for free entry as veterans or individuals with disabilities will have their status verified upon entry to the park. Park staff may also adjust and require additional payment based on the actual number of visitors who arrive.<\/span><\/p>\n

A los visitantes que posean los pases Maryland Annual Park Passes, Golden Age Passes o que\u00a0 tengan derecho a entrada gratuita por ser veteranos o personas con discapacidad, se les verificar\u00e1 su condici\u00f3n\u00a0 en el momento de entrar en el parque. El personal del parque tambi\u00e9n puede ajustar y exigir un pago adicional en funci\u00f3n del n\u00famero real de visitantes que lleguen.<\/span><\/p>\n
