Photo by Anthony Burrows, Maryland Department of Natural Resources<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Maryland Department of Natural Resources<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/fisheries\/Pages\/mgmt-committees\/sfac-index.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sport Fisheries Advisory Commission<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> are seeking nominations for the annual <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/fisheries\/Pages\/mgmt-committees\/sfac_award.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Maryland Sport Fisheries Achievement Award<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, a celebration of conservation, education, and sportsmanship.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This prestigious honor recognizes an individual who has provided sustained efforts in habitat management, conservation, education, research, or other meaningful contributions that benefit fish and recreational fishing in Maryland.\u00a0<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nominations for the Maryland Sport Fisheries Achievement Award are being accepted now through January 31, 2024. Recipients will receive a proclamation signed by the Secretary of the Department of Natural Resources and the chair of the Sport Fisheries Advisory Commission.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nominations can be made by completing an <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/oL8JXPE2qHzoUeV9A\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">online form<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, which includes submitting a detailed essay describing the nominee\u2019s contributions to Maryland recreational fisheries.
