Youth anglers of all ages are encouraged to hone their fishing skills at any of Maryland\u2019s nearly 50 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/fisheries\/Pages\/youth\/rodeo_list.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">youth fishing rodeos<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> spread out across the state this year.\u00a0<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">department<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is working with dozens of organizations in 14 counties across the state to offer free and engaging fishing opportunities for thousands of youth. Many of the events are held in Maryland State Parks and other public lands.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Rodeo events are held from spring until late fall. Maryland\u2019s<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/fisheries\/pages\/youth\/rodeo.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> youth fishing rodeo program<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> receives financial support from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">While all are <\/span><b>free<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and open to the public, there are space limitations at some venues. Attendees should visit the department website and call the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/fisheries\/Pages\/youth\/rodeo_list.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">contact number listed<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to register.
