Vendors of the latest environmental marina products will also be on hand.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) staff will discuss the 2022 reissue of the General Discharge Permit for Marinas as well as new fuel tank storage regulations. Additionally, Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) staff will explain grant funding available for pumpout stations, stormwater management and more.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Marina managers can learn more about the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/boating\/Pages\/cleanmarina\/home.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Maryland Clean Marina Initiative<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> at any of the upcoming workshops:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">March 2 \u2013 11 a.m. to\u00a0 2 p.m. at Solomons Island Yacht Club, 14604 H.G.Trueman Road, Solomons;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">March 3 \u2013 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pip Moyer Annapolis Recreation Center, 273 Hilltop Lane, Annapolis;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">March 10\u00a0 \u2013 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Safe Harbor Bohemia Vista, 40 Bohemia Vista Marina Road, Chesapeake City.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There is no cost to attend but advanced registration is required as space is limited. Certified Clean Marinas meet all environmental regulatory requirements and adopt additional best practices from the Clean Marina Guidebook; this is confirmed through site visits every three years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There are currently <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">145 certified Maryland Clean Marinas and Partners<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, and dozens of other states have replicated Maryland\u2019s program. Certified Clean Marinas enjoy cleaner water, cost savings, more responsible customers, and positive publicity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Clean Marina Program information, including a list of Maryland Clean Marinas, is available <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/boating\/Pages\/cleanmarina\/home.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">on the DNR boating website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.
