Anglers should consult the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eregulations.com\/maryland\/fishing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">2021 Maryland Guide to Fishing and Crabbing<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> for all regulations and any seasonal restrictions for their favorite waters.\u00a0<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As a reminder, new brook trout regulations<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> are now in effect requiring catch-and-release fishing only in all put-and-take trout areas and all waters east of Interstate 81. Anglers should take time to properly identify brook trout &#8212; which are not stocked by DNR &#8212; when fishing in catch-and-release waters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fall stocking locations and times can change due to a variety of factors, including water temperature, water flow, and weather conditions. DNR publishes stocking information <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/fisheries\/Pages\/trout\/stocking.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">online<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, and through social media channels.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Anglers can <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/public.govdelivery.com\/accounts\/MDDNR\/subscriber\/new?qsp=CODE_RED\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">sign up<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to receive stocking updates or can call a recorded hotline at 800-688-3467, which is updated every Friday.
